Lake Huron

Yesterday I went to the town of Goderich for the day. I went down to the beach which was still frozen and walked on the pier.  I took this photo which to me looking like I'm up in the arctic. The rest of the day was spent having lunch at the Parkhouse restaurant and then going for a walk in Bannockburn conservation area, I did not get any decent pictures in Bannockburn which I was disappointed about.

First day back at home

Today was my first day back home which meant today was the first day I could actually go out and take pictures which is just what I did. My Nikon D7200 has built in wifi which means that I can connect to it through my phone and take pictures with my phone which is how I got my bird picture.  I had set up my camera on a tripod on my back deck and waited inside with my phone and when I saw a bird I took it. The next two pictures are of water drops because it is 12 degrees celsius here which is crazy considering it is mid-February and all of the snow is melting.

Trent at night from my window

This is a long exposure at 5 seconds with an F stop of F/3.5 and ISO at 100. It's a long exposure of the car moving along the road by the river and of the damn at the end of the river near the center of the shoot. Over on the right side of the picture where the white lights are coming from that is the universities gym.

Trent on a snowy day

This is what Trent University looks like on a snowy day. I want to apologize for not posting much but with school being so busy and everything I have not had time to get out and take pictures. Also, I do not have a car available so my photo opportunities are rather limited at the moment. Next week I will be home which means I will have a car which then means more photos will be posted as a result of that.

Trip to Montreal

Over Christmas break, I took a trip down to Montreal. That was my first time actually stopping in Montreal as I've driven through it on my way out East a number of times but have never actually stopped. I got a hotel in the Old Port part of town on Francois Xavier Street. The first Picture is of a square and surrounding buildings right near where I was staying. The second picture is from inside the Mary Queen of the World Cathedral looking from the entrance to the altar. The third picture is a statue on a square right near the Cathedral. The next picture is actually my favorite one that I took on the trip, it is overlooking the skyline of Montreal. The fifth picture was taken well walking around the city. The sixth and seventh pictures are of Notre-Dame and the former city hall.
