Myrtle Beach

Last week i had spring break or as we call it up here March break. Me and my family went down to North Myrtle Beach and stayed there for a week during that time we went to this place called Alligator Adventure which was really cool that's is where the Alligator, Parrot, Lemur, and red faced bird is from. The long exposure of the traffic is from out pit stop on our we down the hotel we stayed at overlooks a highway and I was able to take a bunch of photos each 30 seconds long and stack them all upon themselves using Photoshop then I cropped it a bit to remove the boring stuff. The picture of the long exposure of the beach was for about two minutes and I had on my ND filter. The other bird pictures i took well walking on the beach with my 70-300 mm lens. The court house and the Church are from a little historic town that we went up to for a day.

First bee of the season

I apologize for not posting last Sunday but my excuse is that I was on vacation so be aware that you are going to get a lot of pictures posted in the next little bit. This is a photo I took well in my front yard using my macro lens and my mini tripod that I have of  one of the first bees of the season on a snow drop which is what I think the flower is called.

A rabbit and some macro

I;m going to try to update my blog weekly now every Sunday as that is my day off from everything in life and is where I can look though the photos I've taken over the past week so here it is my weekly Sunday post. The first photo I took with my macro lens which is a 100 mm and it is of a flowering tree we have in my house. The next photo is of a rabbit that is always in my backyard even tho my dog always chases it, I took that with my 70-300 mm lens.

Long exposure on a stream

Recently I bought myself a neutral density filter that could change the darkness and I got to use it today well on a walk in the woods and I knew there was a stream there with little waterfalls so I brought along my mini tripod and I got the filter on and took a bunch of long exposure pictures and this is the best one I think. I had my shutter at 2 seconds an aperture at 32 and ISO at 100.

Snowflakes

Today is a day like any other winter day in Ontario cold and windy and snowy. But today was lucky because the wind was blowing right onto the backdoor of my house and with the wind also came the snow. I set saw this when I was letting my dog in and say a couple snow flakes on the door so I went and got my tripod which is a Silk F143 and I also got my 100mm macro lens made by Canon and my remote shutter too and went to work and this is the result of editing first in Adobe Photoshop Express then some touching up and removal of spots in Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 and I can honestly say this is one of the photos I am most exited to post
