Urban forests

In Stratford, there is an urban forest called the Old Grove or T.J Dolan Nature Area. It has a couple trails and a river running through it. I do not really explore it much but I really feel like I should be because of the hidden treasures inside of it such as this little stream. I am not sure where the source of this stream is from as it could be from a storm drain or from a natural one. There was a bunch of different waterfalls such as the one in the picture and there were even small fish in the pool under the waterfall. Overall even if you think the local forest is boring you should still go and explore because it can be full of hidden treasures like this one.

A walk around the lake

Stratford is known for the lake with swans on it and for the many theaters, it has. But this post is about the lake we have it town. It is called Lake Victoria and is a man-made lake. It has Mute Swans which are descendants from Swans that the British Royal Family gave to the town. The first picture is of part of the sidewalk around the lake. There are old willow trees that make it a very nice walk. The second photo is one of the many swans we have in town. It was in the process of grooming its feathers when I took this photo. Both of these pictures are taken during the golden hour which at the time was between 6:30 and8 pm.
