Sunsets are natures way of saying goodbye to a good day. I think that if there is an amazing sunset that evneing then mother nature thinks you had a good day and will reward you with it through one of its mater pieces. If you had a bad day nature won't let you see the sunset by clouding over or raining on you so you have nothing nice too look at before you go to bed, 

This is one of those perfect example of humans and nature in perfect peace. The human or me is feeding a wild chickadee. Yet as the chickadee does demonstrate a small enough amount of fear to not let me touch it it will come and land on my hand then eat the walnuts right out of my hand then fly away to store them somewhere safe for the winter so it doesn't go hungry.

These flowers are one of my favorite kind. they look so perfect and just have the creamy look to them. I have also seen them in white and pink. These flowers in my opinion make for the best photos. 

These pictures are of the same thing but with different focus points the top photos focus point is of the plant growing out of the ground well the bottom focus point of of the moss surrounding the plant. Both pictures are of the same thing only very different focus points. 

Happy first day of Autumn. The sun will soon be gone for most of the day and the leafs will start to turn color and fall. Then comes the snow and the shoveling of the snow which no one likes. But autumn is an amazing time of year it is one of the best times of year to go out and take pictures, in my opinion. The colors are the most vibrate turning this time of year and you and up with odd colors mixtures like in this photo. You have the out of focus greens of the leaves and black of the fence. Compared to teh grey and brown of the bricks and umbrella well you also have the vine leafs truing color and the rays of sunshine coming in.

The beaver is a Canadian icon. It helped to shape this country through the fur trade and through its damns. Beavers are very hard workers and that's why there the symbol of Canada because as Canadians we work through the -50 weather of the winter and the +40 weather of the summer we just don't give up. 

Panorama's are beautiful things if they are done right. Being done right means that they have no lines on them and they cover all of the intended area which this one does. In my previous posts this is the same lake as in the one before and on the very same day i just needed to see what all of the lake would look like with the morning mist still hanging over it.  Now the one below is of a different lake. The place i was staying at had two lakes on it so this is the other lake that isn't used so much this one i took first so there is still more morning mist on it. 

Mushrooms have a very odd name because there not mush filled rooms, there beautiful and sometimes colorful living things. In this picture there are two of the same mushroom ones like your everyday mushroom with the curved edges and perfect roof well the other one is a unique one because it has a roof curving in almost like it is trying to collect water on its roof but it has grown on a slant so that's not possible. 

The contrast of colors in this picture is huge. There are the bright red of the bench vs the bright yellow of the caterpillar. plus added in there there is the black dots the caterpillar adds to the picture and the faded out background of the blue of the bench. This picture is just one that pops out. 

This is more of less the same picture but taken around twelve hours apart from each other. The bottom picture was taken around 4pm when the sun was out to show how beautiful the lake can look well the top picture was taken the next day around 8am when the sun was still hidden behind the trees which let the morning mist stay on the lake longer then normal. This picture just shows how different the same lake can be within twelve hours. 

This picture may not seem like paradise for a lot of people but i'm not talking about people who find it a paradise in this swamp. I'm talking about the many animals and fish that live in this waterway and surrounding area. There are fish in the water birds and raccoon's in the trees and deer on the ground but they all come down to the water to have a drink or get some food. So in fact this is paradise to the animals that depend on this.

This may look like a very typical Canadian picture of a red canoe turned over on a sandy beach which in a way is a very typical Canadian picture but sometimes the typical pictures make you think more then very complex ones. This is one of those pictures that make you think more. It has a thing that just pops out in this picture and that would be the bright red canoe but the thing that makes you think is the background. Why did he pick this angle? What is in the water? Is there anything hidden in the background? This are the questions you probably will ask yourself when you this this picture.

Frog in Water may seem like an very original title but sometimes the most original title is the best title which is the case for this photo because that is all that this picture is. The frog in this picture is a green frog one of the most common frogs found in Ontario. I ended up taking this picture on the edge of a swamp in a park which this frog just happened to be sitting half in the water. What i find most interesting in this photo is the green frogs eyes there perfectly in focus and have a perfect gold ring around the edge of the black iris.

In a miniature world there could be all kind of things lurking around but in this very world  which i'm showing there is a pleasant carpet of moss covering a nice old pine tree that had fallen down. Rising up from the moss like a great sky scraper there is a yellow brownish colored mushroom towering about all else. Behind the mushroom there is the rest of the pine tree and to the left there is a pine branch that has fallen.
